Fuel Cut Defender

Can someone tell me how the FCD manipulates the incoming signal and which sensor is involved. If your your AFR prove acceptable (11 to 1 area) can you run 12psi safely. Who makes them? and which one would you recommend.

Don't use a FCD with the FD. It's not a good idea. Just get a used Pettit/M2 ecu for $400. You can run 12 psi all day long, safely.

What are the downsides if your AFR via wideband are acceptable?

Technically, there would be no downsides if you could avoid fuel cut and still have a safe A/F ratio. Non-technically, it's just not a good idea as the maps for the stock ECU just weren't made for it which is why a rechipped ECU is a better idea.
