Front Turbo Inlet Elbow question
 

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on how to fix a broken Vacum nipple? I found that the second nipple on the Front turbo inlet elbow was broken off. The part is 110.00 from the dealer, for a piece of plastic!!! What a rip off. Anyway I was thinking of using the mid section of an ink pen and gluing it to the elbo using "Zapagap" GLue, then sealing it with High temp RTV. Since this is on the intake side the preasure should not be that high right? Any thoughts on my solution? Let me know.

Different part, but it would be the same concept.

Get a threaded brass nipple at Autozone in a large enough caliber to fit snuggly into the opening in the elbow. Screw it in and you should be set. I did this over a year and a half ago and it still fits nice and tight and clean.

Thank you all for the info. I think I will give the brass nipple from autozone a try. I was wanting to use metal and not have to glue it. Thanks again.

Thanks guys, I was really wanting to get a new elbow and I would have most probably purchased one from a fellow member but I got mine fixed. I went an purchased an inline vacume connector assortment kit for 2.49 and used the third biggest one. I cut the wing tabs off and then drilled the hole in the elbow out a little, still smaller than the plastic vacum connector. I then used a table vise and pressed the part in. It was good with out sealent up to 20psi, probably more but that is as high as my gauge goes. SO I sealed it with "Plasti-weld", wasn't nessacary but I figured it couldn't hurt. I then used a hack saw to cut it down to length. It worked great and looking at it on the engine you would never know. FYI, thanks again for all the offers, advice and links.
