Front Clipping a 3rd gen...

Is it really expensive? I'm considering it to save some money in building my next car.... How detrimental is it to the structure of the car? anyone w/ experience please chime in!
Thanks,
Ryker

Will be installing the front clip in the next few weeks. The entire front of the car will be replaced along with the floor and firewall.

Replaced frame rail:

Repairing a car like this does not weaken the structure as long as the guy welding knows how to weld and they use the factory seams. The car will be put together just like the factory builds them.

The important part is not to just hack the car apart with a sawzall and weld on the replacement pieces, that will weaken the structure.

People that say otherwise just don't know what they are talking about.

I believe if you have to ask the question your not a champion welder.

And with that being said I dont think it would be cost effective to pay someone who is to do the work! I would suggest you look for a car that doesnt need that type of work. Its often needing a good amount of time and thus money!
