FPR solenoid

I am preparing to simplify my sequantials now as its running rough since I redid the lines and I'd just like to clean the engine bay up a bit.

I have read Rob Robinette's How-To on the simplification and a few posts I searched here but I am getting mixed information on the FPR solenoid.

Rob Robinette says to leave it in while others on the boar say remove it and just run the vacuum line from the FPR to the LIM... the reason I am concerned is because Rob Robinette says it can raise the risk of an engine fire.

I'm just wondering what the real answer is to this.... the more that I can get out from under the hood the better the car will be.

it's function is to cut vac to the fpr during hot start-ups. the incresed fuel pressure is to help stabilze idle and svoid vapor locking etc due to the heat soaked fuel already in the rail. lots of people get rid of it. if the car suddenly has a weird hot restart you know where the prob is

ive removed lots of them while doing hose jobs, and never had any problems.

Most of the modded cars here in hot Houston have it removed with no problems.
