Fog light switch question

I have searched pretty hard for this question, so my question is what wires do what on the fog light switch on the 94 touring model?

rockshox 07-14-04 01:56 AM

r/y is from the headlight switch and w is direct to the foglights. r/g is to the dimmer module (pwm ground) and r/b is to the tns relay (power).

so r/g is ground and r/b is hot right?

austinsFD 07-14-04 01:33 PM

right?

translated: red wire with green stripe is a pulse width modulation pulled to ground signal when the dimmeer module is active and the signal can be faded away using the dimmer control (dimming the Luminance of the lamp in the switch itself). The red wire with black stripe gives the signal to the Tactical Navigation System relay, once switch is activated; to distribute power (12V) to the fog lamp assemblies.

no the red with black stripe is power for the switch illumination. it recieves power when the tns relay is switched on by the headlamp switch on the steering column.

10-12 immediate threads came up when searching for "foglight wiring".

The 6th thread has a freakin' DIAGRAM. How exactly did you "search pretty hard" on this?

this is the 6th that I counted...no diagram??? ;)

I searched 3rd gen only, since it's relevant to FD only.

I've searched far and wide, does anyone have a pinout for the switch connector?

Im wanting to wire up factory fog lights I bought a while back when I get my car back from the tuner's shop. This is what I came up with in my research. I highlighted it all to make it easier to look at whats important. Hope this helps people out.
