Which FMIC do you guys recommend?

Hello!

I never thought I wld be looking into one of these but a buddy of mine who is part owner of a well known Porsche shop was shocked at how small my stock IC was and has me all paranoid about it now. :o
I came close to buying a SMIC a few times but luckily it never happened, I havent read up on any FMIC threads in the past so Im hoping some of you wld give me ur personal opinions on which unit to buy and why?

TIA!

i'm gonna go with the Blitz kit. i've heard good stuff about it and you don't need to cut up your car to fit it in.

I like the rx7fashion unit..personally

I love my Greddy 2 row even though it's not the easiest to install. I never had any overheating problem here in SoCal.

Anyone have the Greddy 3 row? The Blitz looks nice as well.

I have the Blitz FMIC and it very nice, BUT there are some installation issues that are not for the low experienced mechanic.

It is made to go with the stock radiator and Japanese AC. The IC goes in very easy, but with a larger radiator you have to modify one bracket that attaches the top of the radiator to the IC top. The larger rad also causes clearnace problems with the oil lines if you have a R1 or R2.

Only 3 of the 4 AC adapter brackets can be used and they had to be modified for the AC condensor coil to fit properly in front of the rad as it does when stock. Forget
about their sideways battery mount. Move the stock one to the storage bin or get the minature battery.

Then you can not use even a M2 cold air box.

If I had to do it again, I would get the Williams Streetfighter or RX7 Fashion one. Do not have to touch the AC or rad or battery of air filter!

Greddy 3 row is the ultimate FMIC. Not the easiest to install but well worth the money.

I guess I shld of included my list of current mods.....Im still running the seq twins and my sig shld show the rest.

If ur gonna make a recommendation PLEASE tell me if you know if it will work w/ my current mods. Also if you installed it was it cut and dry or was there alot of hacking involved?

I took a look at that streetfighter site and from what I can tell it looks like an easy install, has anyone bought/installed one yet?

TY ALL for ur input!

For the price of the street fighter you can get a Greddy 3 row and still have money. Why is this more money but smaller? I guess because the ease in install? It probably isn't that hard if you have the proper tools and access to a lift. :)
