Fluidyne or Koyo?
 

which one is better? I need to buy one here soon.

Koyo is thick and cant work with some FMIC...But its cheaper at $350

Fluidyne is about 1/2 inch thinner than the Koyo. Direct replacement. But its over $425.

Be on the safe side go with the Fluidyne.

I've heard Fluidyne are a direct replacment and Koyo's might need a little fitment to work. Koyo's on eBay for $368.

i heard the fluidyne produces 20-25% more cooler and the koyo produces 25-30% more cooler

Koyo fits with FMIC if you weild DK's Mad Aluminum Bracket Making Skills. I guess not everyone has those, though. :)

I installed a Fluidyne on my 93 and it was a direct fit looks good, alot sronger and thicker than stock and had no problem instaling it. :cool:

thanks a lot i was planning on getting a Fluidyne to begin with but I was reading about both and Saw the Koyo has a half year more warranty and is thicker and suppose to cool a bit better, but i am lazy and don't want to have to worry about making it work with a FMIC.

P.S. if anyone else is looking for one and has not came across Absolute radiator yet I would reccomend going there for cheap prices.

When you install a Fluidine....are there any other modification requirements?

such as battery relocation?

I have the Koyo and my temps don't soar at all. I recommend the Koyo and it's cheaper.

you can use the Koyo with a front mount !!!!!

the only problem I have is the Koyo is so thick, it pushes my M2 lg I/C up so I have to remove the hood prop. I just keep it behind my seat.

I installed the Fluidyne into a 93 base model and the only problem I encountered was with the stock radiator hoses. Due to the extra thickness of the radiator I found myself having to trim small amount of material off the hoses. Other than that it fits great.

Like I said before the Fluidyne is direct bolt on and in addition i wanted to say that there is a deference in the cooling temp. My car does run cooler than when i had the stock one in. I guess that would be the same if you would up grade with other brands. But I can tell you that from the 4 diff. brands i looked at , having experiance with aluminum welding & mods., the fluidyne was the best built and the most for your $.:cool:

I got my Koyo radiator off of ebay for $350....with tax and shipping the total was $390. It came with a lifetime warranty. I haven't installed it yet.....I will be putting it in with my greddy FMIC and all my other mods in the early spring. I've throughly checked out the koyo though....everything is perfect on it.

Memphis I would have to say you got a god price on it and belive me i am not putting them down ,I'm just saying that with , exp. and my choise i went with fluidyne . Like i siad before you got a god deal and they are also good raidiators, it was my 2nd choise.:D
