First Time

Friday night I got the chance to ride in a FD3S for the first time. All I have to say is that it was amazing. I drive a 95 Toyota 4x4 that's on 33's....so you can imagine it was quite a change. I loved everything about the car. To my amazement I was allowed to drive it! The car had the non-sequential mod done. It also had a dp, mp, greddy Ti exhaust, intake and a Apexi PFC. The car was running 8psi. It was a little sluggish down low, but once the turbos came online....it was amazing. Now I see why ppl say it's easy to miss 3rd gearLOL. On another note, the lighting didn't seem as bad as a lot of ppl say and I thought the ride of the car was quite enjoyable. Much much smoother than my truck (of course). I've been looking at one of these cars for a while now, and now I am hooked. Hopefully I can purchase one this coming summer. Just thought I'd let everyone know what I thought.

P.S.-Thanks for the ride and the drive, you know who you are :D

And so starts the largest, most costly, and longest love-hate relationship of Silviacrazed live.

it depends on who you ask, but I think it's worth it

Thanks for the post and reminding me of my first drive. BTW, since your already registered here, be sure to read all the sticky threads. ALOT of good info before you buy. ;)

Owning an FD is way more expensive than marrige, until you have kids.

I would argue that its only more expensive if you mod (as long as you take very very good care of the car), but...who doesnt modify their cars?

Exactly^^

you should seriously try to test drive a car with the stock seq system at 10 psi, its even better even though there is still not that much torque down low. also, it might be my imagination but it does seem faster if you are alone (the extra 200lbs next to you will just slow you down :)) tell him to get out and wait haha

^Agreed if your talking strictly "peformance mods". But "reliability mods" should save you money in the long run. And some, like pre-cat replacement with a DP, could actually qualify as both.

Yeah I've read a lot of the stickys. I come on here and read almost everyday, I just don't post much cause I don't own the car. If there is anyone else in the metro ATL area that wants to meet sometime, let me know. :bigthumb:
