FInding the right mechanic
I brought my 93 to the dealer becasue of a fuel smell. Turns out the injectors o-rings and the fuel rail needed to be replcaed. The dealer wanted $2000.00. What a rip off.
I took it to M2 Performance and it only cost $950 and that included changing my vacumn hoses with their parts so they don't pop off like the stock ones. Since I had it in the shop I asked them to check the ACT clutch and that had to be replaced but once the transmission was out, they found the needle bearing not working and my crank shaft floating around. Even though I got a hell of a deal $14,000 for a 93 with 59,000 miles. I still had to shell out $3000.00. Damn it that it happens this time of year. Anyway I want to give major props to M2 Performance for doing what they did for my car. I would recommend anyone in the area to use them as a shop. They know their shiznit!!!:D |
Too bad I'm on the other coast....It's hard to find someone who is honest and know what is doing.....
|
That is soo true. The cool part is that they started changing small parts that needed to be replaced but didn't charge me. They actually felt bad that they found the needle bearing problem because it was and additional $1000. If you have questions you can always call them for advise. Mike and Brian over there are very cool and down to earth.

Been there........dealer in Indy gave me a huge list of stuff causing my oils leaks and a huge bill. Shane at Aim said it was just the oil pan and fixed it without pulling the motor--way less money. He even discovered that the dealer had all the air box hoses hooked up wrong so he fixed that and to top it off he was concerened that some of my lines weren't fastened down properly so he zipp tied everything up nice and tidey. he stayed way late to install my dp on a friday night. The next morning my check engine light comes on so he comes in on Saturday--a day off-- to help me diagnos the prob--the factory connector was toast. I wish I needed more work to get done cause this guy and his team are what good service is all about. If you are reading and need a shop, support companies like AIM and M2 Performance.

I would not feel right to just call them since I am so far
and could not give them any business....... I can do pretty much everything myself, but sometimes you get into situation that you just can not solve it and that's where it would get handy..... |

You would be amazed how easy it is to work on your car with the right information. It's what the pros use. Disclaimer: I have not subscribed for my 3rd gen so I have no idea how good it is for this vehicle - but it has saved me thousands of dollars on other vehicles I own over the past several years.:D |
Yes Alldata is very helpfull ,if you keep your 7 stock
once you start modifications in some cases it does not apply,(vac.simplification, fuel syst......) But still,I use it ,mostly for troubleshooting electrical problems. |
