TX Trouble removing the shifter???

Question:

I am putting in a SSK and removed the bolts from the old shifter but I cannot get it off...don't want to break anything...any tips to safely remove the old shifter mechanism?

Tap it lightly with a rubber mallet. There is silicone sealant that holds it on.

Yep I tried that...gonna try taping on it with hammer on a wooden dowel...gently😗
