a few questions (audio and mech)

ok I have a 94 automatic( I belive an r1 it doesnt have a sunroof or leather seats but it does have cruise and a non tilt wheel) with a few problems that I was wondering if you guys could help me out with it would be much appreciated and i'm sorry if the questions are long i'm just trying to give as much info as possible to help you help me.

1. Ok so at random times starting my car and driving it ill notice the "hold" light flashing on my techometer and my speedometer wont work. But my car will still shift gears like the hold isnt on. What could cause this???

2. My e-brake light is constantly on even when the brake is fully disengaged. I've seen it flicker on and off when I go over really rough roads.

3.This one is an audio question. I bought the car for really cheap becuase it was mostly gutted. (it had the seats and stearing wheel and door panels with speakers. the cluster and wireing harness. the only part of dash I had was the reinforcement mounting bar). Ok enough of that so any way I got my new dash and tried puting in my aftermarket stereo in it (kenwood i belive) and it turns on but no sound comes out. Now theres a plug on my wireing harness that goes past my shifter towards the back compartments that i think an amplifier goes to that it needs cause on my wireing diagram i have it says something about a center amplifier wich it has the speaker wires going to) but it doesn't show were it goes and I cant find it... So is that the case I need that amp for it to produce sound or what???
These questions have probably been covered before and if I could get the links i'll go looking thru that but any help I could get would be highly appreciated.. I just want my baby getting back the way she should... beautiful and healthy

Okay, you have a Base model to start with (no R1 had an automatic). The e-brake issue is just the switch, take off the cover and see if it is loose or has a grounding/shorting issue or needs adjustment. The 'Hold' light flashing indicates an issue with the automatic tranny. Sometimes just resetting the car's ECU by disconnecting the battery and pushing on the brake pedal will alleviate the flashing 'hold' light.
Stereo question is pretty much answered by knowing you almost surely don't have a Bose stereo, as they didn't come in the Base model. This may seem a dumb question but you DO have speakers and have connected all the wires correctly, right?
