a few questions about check valves

.i have a 92 FD and i am currently doing the rats nest..after much scraped knuckles and headbanging i finally got it out but broke a check valve. I have noticed that most of my check valves are either hard to blow through or you can blow through them both ways so i will be needing some new ones. The question i am asking is.. should it be easy to blow through them and what is the difference between the smaller one and the larger one? also does anyone know any details about the stock check valves (psi pressure, cracking ?? WHAT IS CRACKING PRESSURE?? and would any valve do? i am having a right mission to get hold of any over here and it is the only thing stopping me getting my pride+joy back on the road..also does anyone know where i can get some at a reasonable price (not the £25 mazda or wgt charge) and what is the average temperature under the bonnet of an FD?

any answers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

i believe most of them are one way. i'm not sure the difference, but i know for sure that the aluminum one causes a fuel smell when you can blow through in both directions. i think its for the fuel purge if i remember correctly.

as for where to get em, we all get much of our new factory stuff from ray crowe at malloy mazda. he cuts a price break. there was also a thread in the advanced tech section about other aftermarket check valves you can use - nice metal ones that you can get elsewhere. browse through the thread there and you will be sure to find it.

good luck.
