Fender Vents with Body Kit

I am looking to improve the look of my fender vent area. The previous owner had used foam to fill up the spaces in between the original body and the body kit.

I am wondering if the stock fender vents would fit or I need to look for a different solution? One thought I had was to cover up the foam with a custom cut piece of black acrylic.

What has everyone else done when in this situation?

Stock fender vents aren't even close to fitting there. Hard to describe but there is no way that would work.

Probably best to find some sort of mesh screen insert to go in there to fill it in. A black mesh would look really good. I'd also probably hit the yellow oversprayed parts with some black spray paint or pull the fender liners and replace or clean them to get that paint off, that really sticks out.

Thank you Dale, that is what I thought would be the case. I will look into some mesh and cleaning up the rest of my overspray issues as there are many. The car was a factory black car and was changed to yellow/primer before I bought it. I then resprayed the whole car to match.

Looks like the previous owner molded in an entire C-West body kit. How are you going to take off the bumpers or fenders or skirts if you need to service something?

It has been a challenge to work with anything around where the body kit was molded in. But thankfully I havent had to do any major work around the bumpers, fenders or side skirts. What kind of service are you thinking of that would require me taking off the bumpers, fenders or skirts?

You shouldn't really have to do anything that fully requires removing the fenders, but it does suck that it's all molded in like that. Looks good, though.

Just as long as you can remove the fender liner, sometimes you need to get up in there to run wiring or to service things like the coolant overflow tank.

BTW, if the fender liners are ratty they aren't very expensive new, about $100 each.
