hawaii rx-7 11-26-01 04:04 PM

no, they're the same kits.

Johnny 11-26-01 07:51 PM

yes..the are the same..

It's my fav front end..short of a the all out racing widebody kits from RE and Knightsports....

Flybye 11-26-01 07:51 PM

YUP. They are both the Feed Type II front ends. Only $1700 WITHOUT the damn lights or the S&H , but damn it, it's the BEST front end I have EVER seen.

Silver93T 11-26-01 11:23 PM

I love that bumper, but it is fiberglass and very expensive, as you can see. I went with the 99.

i8urchvy 11-29-01 02:57 AM

Hey, I love that front bumper, its so cool. I was just wondering if anyone has any other pics of the silver car, I am trying to figure out what side skirts are on it. If anyone knows what type they are or has pics that would be great. thanks

Flybye 11-29-01 06:48 AM

It doesn't have side skirts

FEED always does a nice job with their stuff...agressive yet flowing. Keeps in line with the rest of the lines of the car yet looks like it's ready to bite your ass :D

I'm going to be either picking up a Feed type2 frontend next time I'm in Japan or I'm going to have someone pick it up for me. This I'm almost positive will happen in the next 3-5 months before I get my FD repainted to get rid of that hideous vintage red paint that's on it right now. Sorry other VR FD owners, I just have a complete aversion for red cars (except Ferrari's) in general and bought the one I have now because of the price the previous owner was selling for.

I've talked to Rotaryextreme about having a fibreglass mold made out of my original for replication and sales in the US. I'm still debating this. I want to get it copied just in case I crack the original and don't want to pay a shitload of money to get a one off piece brought in as a replacement. There's obviously some financial incentive to having a copy made as well.

On the other hand, I don't want to get it copied because it will eventually go the way of the C-West frontend or worst yet the Veilside (haha can you say VIS, Erebooty, and Wings West?). Uniqueness would be nice. It'd also kill me to see shoddy, poor fitting, Feed replicas running around. I'd feel embarrassed to own one if that were the case. I know rotaryextreme will make a great mold and good replicas, but how many other people will take a replica of a replica of a replica of a replica of his replica of my original and mass produce complete shit out of it? There was a time a few years ago when the Veilside kit was extreme, but OK to me. Now when I see one, or more likely, the replica of one, I can't help but chuckle because I know if I looked closely at the car, the kit probably fits like shit. I don't want that happening to the Feed front end.

I'm not trying to really get at anything, so sorry for rambling. I'm just debating aloud now and hoping others can give me any other good reasons to or not to have a copy made.

Damn good looking front end.

Not my FAVORITE, that would be the R-magic type 3, but the Feed kit is definitely in the top 5.

Silver93T 11-30-01 01:17 AM

You are too indecisive. But seriously, the type2 is gorgeous. I would have gotten it but I don't want to deal with glass on the street car. That and its about $1700 plus another $400 for the lights. I went with the 99 front instead and am gonna shave off the license plate holder.

Astro 11-30-01 02:21 AM

DHG,
I totally agree..but can i get a few copies for myself?
haha
j/k

eunosFD, do you have a bigger version of your avatar?
niiiiice looking car

jackc 11-30-01 02:21 AM

Hey BrianK...

Man that's the sweetest looking ride. That Front Feed type 1 is way more cool than the type ii.

What's it made of fiberglass or what? And what did it cost you?
Where did you get it from as well?

Can the front licence plate holder be removed? Anyone got pics
of this front end with the plate holder removed?

And will the factory turn signals and running lights fit this front end as well?

Coolest looking FD that I have seen in a while...
thanks for the reply jc.

EunosFD 11-30-01 11:25 AM

Actually I don't have that particuar picture any bigger, but I do have some other angles of it. I have no idea who's car it is or where I found it, but I love how it looks.

EunosFD 11-30-01 11:26 AM

Another...

Silver93T 11-30-01 12:03 PM

Thats the GTC kit. I'm pretty sure I saw that car at mads last year, its really nice. I spoke with the owner but don't remember who's it was.

MaxRX7 11-30-01 03:36 PM
