Feed skirts and 99 spec lip

1 Attachment(s)
Fellas....just wondering what you're opinion would be.......
I'm painting my 94 FD in the Porsche Basalt Black Metallic and I'm wondering:

1) Should I paint my 99 spec lip and Feed sideskirts the same color to match or

2) Keep it the fiberglass black, sand it to a nice finish, and clearcoat it?

I wanna keep the thing as stock looking as possible but the picture attached looks DAMN good too.

The car is lowered around .75 in the front and 1.25 in the back with Tokico Illuminas and Racing Beats.
Tire size is 255/35/19 in front with 35 offset and 275/30/19 in rear with 38 offset.
Fenders are rolled and I want that aggressive stance look.

Any opinions? Thanks guys!

I forgot to add that it has the 99 spec front bumper also...

I have the 99 spec lip and FB Feed-lik side skirts too. I left them all black. I scrape the front end every day going up and down driveways. If I painted it, it would look like crap in no time.

If you are going keep the SS black. I wouldn't sand them. They are fine as is. Besides they are already gel-coated, at least the ones that I got from Chuck at RE

Thanks J...and it looks like my FD is practically your brothers! HAHA It's a 94 silver touring but I fell in love with the basalt black color code Z4 from Porsche.

Yeah, I got the same sideskirts from Chuck also. I'm lucky enough to be close to his warehouse in Cali so I just picked them up from there, and I also picked up the 99 front end. His cousing Ronald runs the warehouse in so cal and is a major nice guy. So maybe I should just keep them black and clearcoat them? Thanks for your input!

your front tires are an inch too tall and the offsets are also off. You might want to double check your numbers and look over jimlabs fitment Excel spreadsheet.

I'd keep em black.. even if I didn't have a black fd

Just so you know, the sideskirts in the thumbnail you posted are not Feed. Those are the Apexi side skirts.

Oh yeah...I know about the sideskirts. I just put up that pic for an example of a painted 99 spec lip.

And for the wheels, I already fit them on my FD and those are the correct numbers. They fit pretty good except they were rubbing in the front so I had to roll the fenders for that. They fit fine now.

Thanks for the input guys!
