Will start with carb cleaner on the stock ecu. Verified that fuel is getting to fuel hard lines.

Any idea what I should look into?

How is your ignition set up on the adaptronic? with carb cleaner it starts on stock ecu and stays running?

Johnny Kommavongsa 11-07-16 09:48 AM

^ idk, setup for stock I'm assuming. I had the adaptronic on my BB FD which had stock ignition. Will only start and run for a little with carb cleaner. Once the carb cleaner is burned off it dies.

Changed trigger wheel, CAS, checked CAS wiring and no luck. Also tried another OEM ecu, no luck.

Would look into the adaptronic settings while the car is running but the mini usb port on the adaptronic ecu broke off and i can't connect to it via bluetooth.

Going to get a Power FC from a local guy next and see what is going on.

"a local guy" is all i am to you johnny?!!?!?!?!?!?

......treated like yesterday's trash  ;)

My advice is to get rid of that ecu. If you can't connect to it, it will be useless to see what is going on. To me it sounds like its not getting fuel. Either a problem with the ecu itself, the injectors, harness, pump, etc. The ecu might also not be seeing the trigger wheel or setting are way off preventing it from squirting fuel. Borrow a power fc and look in the function menu to see if everything is reading correctly.

Why not just send the adaptronic out for repair? Replacing a mini usb can't be that difficult, at least not any more so than doing it to a cell phone, which was pretty easy.
Hell, you could probably just take it to a cell phone repair shop.

Thanks. what has me stumped is that it will run on adaptronic ecu so i would think it getting fuel from the pump to the injectors.

I've tried 2 different trigger wheels and CAS.

Yea I'm hoping to look at the setting via Power FC with Jacob this wknd.

I just sent off the ecu and have another adaptronic coming :-)

Made some progress.

Got a new adaptronic and saw where the map sensor wasnt getting signal.

Continutiy tested some wires and found out that the map sensor isnt getting power. It shares power wire with tps so i temporary spliced a wire from tps to map sensor and the car starts on oem ecu.

Now i gotta figure out why the common wire between map and tps arent connected.

Both those run through the body harness. Check your fender wells for rubbing as the harness runs under there. You could do a continuity test from the ecu to the map sensor to verify the wire is broken.

Continuity test confirmed that i had a broken wire. I just didn't know where. So I bought this
Attachment 752181

and found the broken wire after i removed some tape.
