fd wheel fitment
 

I was searching but couldnt find a definite answer which is would a 17x10" wheel fit nicely on a fd with +35 offset in the rear and 17x8" with +35 offset in the front? If not, what is a ideal offset that would be better.

I dont know I just took the car in and had wheels ordered. I have 17x8s in front on 235/40/17 and 17x10 in back with 275/40/17 and they fit great and look good too.

So do you know the offset of the wheels?...

No, those offsets are too low for good fitment, especially at the rear. Please search the Suspension forum. A +38 should be considered a minimum offset for 10" wheel at the rear and even that would require fender rolling. Ideal offset range is between +45 to +50.

+55 is barely good too. That's what is on the back of my car.

My backs rims are 18X10's with 50 offset, running 275.

what is the offset that you guys with 17x8 have on the front?

Bah, a 17x8 is too skinny. What's the point of "upgrading"? At the least, go with a 17x8.5 or 17x9, this will allow for a 245/40 or 255/40 tire up front. In any case, I wouldn't go below +40 offset for 17x8 or 17x8.5, +45 offset for 17x9.

hmm, rynberg i looked at the Official Fd wheel offset table posted by CEASARx7 and it said to run 17x8 in the fronts it is recommended that the offset be 31+ and for the rear offest for 17x10 to be 44+ . In your post you mentioned that i shouldnt go below 40 offset for 17x8 or 8.5 . This is the stuff that confuses me... Which is correct and which isn't.
