FD stalling?

So it didn’t seem to do this until recently, but when I first get my car out and we’ll say there’s a stop sign 100 yards from my driveway, I pull up to the stop sign, and drop it into neutral from about 2-2.5k rpm to coast into the stop sign. Well as the rpm decreases it continues to decrease until 0 and stalls out. Now it may do this one more time until the next stop sign (about a half mile) and then it doesn’t do it anymore. So my question is, is this just a rotary warm up thing or would it possible have something to do with a vacuum hose going bad in the rats nest area? Thanks for any help!

I would check the operation of the thermowax fast idle system to make sure it is adjusted and working properly then I would check to see if the throttle dashpot is adjusted and working properly. Search for those two terms and you will find a lot of info on testing and adjusting these. Also, the factory service manual has excellent instructions on these procedures.
