FD rear sway bar endlinks
 

Looking to purchase new rear sway bar endlinks but noticed there is only 2 products available, Improved Racing and OEM Mazda. I was wondering which one you guys would recommend more? Improved Racing ones are $150 and OEM Mazda are about $140 so almost the same price. For those of you with Improved racing rear endlinks, how do you like them so far? Any feedback is much appreciated.

I assume anything that is not OEM will transmit more road noise/vibration...so if your FD is mostly driven on the street I see no reason why you would want anything else than OEM. The improved racing ones do look nice and can be height adjustable...so if you're lowering your car a lot or want to play with the bar preload...I guess they're worth it :dunno:

I have the IR sway bar link front & back. I installed the rear ones when I installed my coilovers because the stock ones wouldn't fit. I set the IR links to the same heights as the stock ones and, honestly, did not notice any difference in road noise or vibrations. The build quality is good too.

I still have my old Mazda OEM rear sway bar link if you're interested in them. They're a little dusty but in really good shape (no rips or tears in the rubber). They have about 50k miles on them.

its been a long time since i looked at anything new, but the OEM links work, and the aftermarket stuff usually fails in short order.

I think have some of the aftermarket spherical bearing rear sway bar links that I'll sell for 1/2 off. These have the longer bolt to fit through the thicker feet on aftermarket coilovers.

I recently installed the Improved Racing units because with my new SBG FP-Spec Ohlins, they're required due to the thicker AL rear lower fork.

They're very well made, super beefy, and come with great instructions that include torque-specs. Much nicer than the old ones a dude had bought years ago, they completely redesigned them after having issues.

Zero NVH either, I'm a big OEM guy but in this case I had no choice and so far have been very satisfied :bubrub:

Hey rich thanks for the review. What sway bar are you using with the improved racing endlinks ? I thought about upgrading it with my DFV setup. And sway bushing. Oem or afterMarket

Yo Holmes, rocking a rear 19mm thick PFS unit (to go along with a too-beefy 32mm PFS front) with the provided bushings to suit said thicker bars. Old Skool for sure.

The car came with the sway bars and with the DFV the car definitely pushed more, this time around SBG spec'ed out stiffer rears to compensate, from memory they're 12kg front/13kg rear and the car feels much more balanced, nimble and responsive.

OEM are much lighter. I replaced them with Improved Racing as the OEM links were being cut in half by the wide wheels (18x10).
Then I removed the rear sway altogether to keep both wheels on the ground. (autocross with DOT race rubber)

Hi, I Have a HKS Coilover and with the oem endlinks they barely make it over the base of the coilover, the nut is barely holding just like 4 twist because the stock endlinks are too shorts, so is the improved racing ones are longer for my hks coilovers??
