FD Motor rebuilt prices

Im just wondering how much have you all paid to have a motor removed out of the car, then rebuilt and have it put it back to the car. (rebuilt or mazda reman)

How much is the labor it self anyways? (w/o price of motor, just the removing the motor and the installation)

Swap the motors out yourself. Not that hard, you have an appreciation for your hard work and you save yourself a BUTT LOAD.

i bought an atkins extreme street port with oil mods for $2900 with my motor as a core and did the work myself. i had never done a motor swap before, but i am pretty mechanically inclined. it was a hell of a lot easier than i could have thought. a typical street ported motor with 3mm seals and oil mods will run you anywhere from $3500-6000 depending on the place. if you just want a stock one, malloy mazda sells brand new mazda remanufactured ones for i think less than $3k

Stock Mazda Reman: $2240
Labor for KDR to rip apart the new motor and rebuild it with better than factory seals, and R&R the motors: ~$3000
Driving my 7 again: Priceless :D
