FD Motor Mounts

Are the two sides interchangeable? I have an extra passenger steel bracket. Can that be used on the driver's side?

I'll find out myself shortly when i pull them, but just thought i'd ask as i'm sure the answer is already out there.

Thanks in advance

Tom

That's what i thought. I saw another post about it being interchangeable, but i think it they were talking about the driver side steel bracket being interchangeable with the AL bracket.

Looks like I'll be posting a WTB

You can use a steel passenger side on the driver's side. The only difference is the driver's side doesn't have the mounting provisions for the heat shield.

Thanks much for the clarification. This is very helpful

The question is already answered but I did have a possibly alternative. I went with XS Manufacturing motor mounts for my FD after the stock ones died. I ordered them with the lower durometer bushings they offer and they feel great. It does transmit more vibration initially (below 2k rpms) but once past that, they are very smooth.

That's what i went with (but with the stiffer durometer). Have yet to install though. With the engine out, my 'to do' list is quite large
