FD idle AFR?
I have heard the rotory needs to idle much richer than the piston cars, 12.8 :1 ideal?

According to my Defi A/f gauge, my car with the stock ECU runs 14.5:1 at idle. I'm a little sceptical as to the accuracy, but it's definately leaner the 12.8.

My car with boltons and no airpump/car, idles at 11:1 according to my Innovate wideband. I know a lot of people have gotten their cars to idle at 14.7:1

Mine idles at the mid 14s with no problem with my 870cc top feeds. You'll most likely need top feed/low impedance injectors to get your idle that lean, with the side feed/high impedance 850 primaries I could never get better than high 11s.

Mine idles at 12.3, PLX SM-AFR. Steetported, A/C and airpump removed, O2 feedback and idle igt disabled in PFC. 14.7 sounds rich for idle if you ask me, but I have absolutely no experience or knowledge of tuning these cars. I just got my FC-Datalogit hooked up today and SM-AFR last night.

That just shows how much I know :) It's 12.6 btw, and my idle is set to 1100 RPM.

12.6 is definitely too rich at idle, you'd be better in the low to mid 14s. |
My car will idle pretty smoothly as lean as 15.0:1 according to my Techedge wideband at 1000 rpm.
For best vacuum at idle, I found that 12.5-13:1 gives more vacuum at the same 1000 rpm. It does stink though. Don't ask me why the same RPM gives more vacuum when rich. |
