fd in headlights glass housings?

I was going to upgrade the bulbs to 90/130w but I just noticed the lense seems like it made of plastic. I don't want to melt anyhting and I was wondering if maybe the the j-spec 7s had glass housings or if maybe hella made a set?

I think the E-code (Euro Spec) are glass, but they are hard as hell to find.
The stock plastic stuff is crap.

I hate the plastic crap too. Dont you think for $40,000 new, Mazda would at least have had glass headlights?

I would assume they are plastic so they don't break everytime you get a rock chip and have to spend bucks to replace them, plus they are lighter.

your best bet for glass head lights is to contact a compony that imports front clips.

Mine are glass

I Have NEVER had a GLASS headlight break from normal use they are made w/ very tough glass - my DAKOTA is the first car I have owned w/ Plastic headlight lenses, after only 6 years they have turned very yellow, scratched and pitted, much more so than the 15+ year old euro style headlamps on my old 65 mbz ever got.

I have a set of PIAA wanna be HID headlights on my car and they haven't melted anything, you should be fine.
