Nice! I had no idea there were so many versions!
Any idea of the major differences? Dale |

I think the pinch welds on the sides are different too.
I'm having trouble fitting a rear tow hook on my 03/92 USA FD. The flat edge seems to stick out further than the rest of the models. Think it would be wise to bend the flat portion out of the way with a hammer? |

There's usually adjustment available at the tank straps if you're just looking for a few mm - sound deadener on rubber might require the bolts to be significantly loose. Wouldn't worry about bendng the seam though, it's continuously welded and won't leak, short of total stupidity.

so too add new Info, the V3 and later tanks have a cover/baffle cover, FD01-42-159
it would then appear that F124-42-110A can use (or might come with) the FD01-42-159 baffle. |
Nice! Googling around it looks like it goes over the top of the "bucket" in the tank the fuel pump sits in, I guess to keep fuel from sloshing out.
Don't know if that part is retrofittable or easily available, though. Dale |

There's another gas tank thread that has a picture of the later tank with that panel. It doesn't look like it would work in an earlier tank, the plastic "bucket" at the bottom of the tank is different.
Best route would to be to get one of the aftermarket cover plates out there. Dale |
