are FD driveshaft endlinks separable and rebuildable?

I have rx7 1993-1995 transmission and RX8 rear differential box. I was wondering if I could just buy a stock 93-95 endlinks online then just use the endlinks to make a custom shaft.

before I buy the 93 rx7 oem driveshaft, I wanted to ask whether the endlinks would be separable and whether the joints will be rebuildable.

thanks all!

The Rx7 driveshaft universal joints are not rebuildable. You have to purchase a new or used driveshaft to replace it.

cool thanks. so they're separable though? don't mean to sound so crude, do I just get a flat head and bang on the crease between the endlinks and the driveshaft to separate them? I need the custom length shaft, so I need to separate both ends and stick a custom length shaft in between.

not looking to make tons of power, so i can live with non-rebuildable endlinks.

thanks again.

The stock FD driveshaft U-joints can be removed. They are retained by nylon inserts where other rebuildable u-joints are held in by C-clips
