fd cuts out when making left turn...
need a bit of help here. this may seem strange, but when i go to make a left turn the motor starts to sputter...if i dont rev it up it will stall and die. never does it when turning right.
still a bit of a noob to rotaries, but i searched thru a few pages. any help would be appreciated. thx in advanced. also, horn honks when i pull back the lever to flash the high-beams  |
90% is the harness being rubbed through at the driver's fender well. Check that, repair the wires if necessary. It is being shorted.

^ Agreed. Get that FSM and look for frayes in the wiring and loom.
If you think the pump wiring is being affected, you can run some leads from the rear to a volt meter and monitor as you drive. |
+1 on the front main harness under the left front wheel splash shield. fix it before the ECU gets fried if it is the problem.
also check your fuel pump sock and replace it if it looks questionable. |
+1 for fuel pump. I have this occuring for me but happens going uphill on a quarter tank. Apparently its common

On my Subaru (GC) I had similar issues but on right turns and with < 1/4 tank of gas; the problem was from fuel sloshing to the other side of the tank and starving the pump. Do the 7's experience the same issues or is there a "basket/anti sloshing" tray inside the tank? Sorry I've never looked inside my tank :P

also check your fuel pump sock and replace it if it looks questionable. Luckily there is a shop AT the track that specializes in FD3Ss and they found and fixed my (Main harness shorting out) problem within a couple days. :icon_tup: Thanks 7's Only Racing! |
