last night i went to the KFC drive through, and while i was waiting for my food, some lady came out of KFC, looked at my car and commented, "wow, that's a nice camaro". WTF?!?!

I can understand ignorant people mistaking it for a miata, or maybe a viper, but a camaro?!

Hahaha.. yeah, a few nights ago, i was at tim hortons and these guys commented "Woah, check this out guys... it's a v8 2002 rx7" haha.. :) at least they thought it was an rx7.. but a camaro???

Viper, sort of. Slowmaro, you should have bitch slapped them!!! Let them know that you didn't say anyhting bad about their kids so they should leave your baby alone and not call her names, that's just rude. If you don't know what the F*#k your talking about then shut the F*#k up!

All F-bodies suck. They have all been domesticrapped. A 67 Camaro is all right if you like old muscle but the new ones, give me a break.

I actually had some high school kid at the Taco Bell drive through window ask if my car was a new Porsche. LOL!

i went to the subaru dealer to check out the wrx and the dealer asked if that was my new porsche i drove in - "uh..., no, thats a 7 year old mazda...."
the look he gave me was great! ha!

A few days ago a redneck asked me if my car was a Supra, probably cause he is way to familiar with Camaros!

At the gas station last week a lady asked me if it was a 2001 or 2002, when I said 1994 her jaw dropped. Makes me feel good when that happens.

I'd be highly pissed if someone mistaked my car for a Camaro.

The first day I had my car, i stopped at an auto parts store to get some windsheild washer blades. Some guy came up to me in the parking lot and was like, "Damn, is that your RX-7? Thats the 2002 model, right?"
I've had it called lots of things, but thats pretty funny.

Most people just ask, WTF is that?

Haha, at work, I came outside to get something out of my car. It was surrounded by a group of the house keeping workers. As I walked up, they were like, "hey, do you know what kind of car this is??"
I was like, "Yea, its an RX-7" I pulled my keys out and opened the door. hahahaha, they all gave me a suprised look and walked away trying not to make eye contact with me again, lol.

Camaros are ugly, handling sucks, overweight. The only thing that is good about them is that the LS1 has potential.

yeah, easily the number one question is: "Thats a 2002, right? - what?! a '93?!" , quickly followed by "and what is it exactly?" further then followed by "how fast?!/how much HP?"

And don't forget the ever popular "what kind of engine does that thing have? A four cylinder, V6...?" After I bought my car and went to the DMV to get it licensed the lady that was working thought I was being a smart ass when I told her it was a rotary. She then asked how many pistons it had and I told her none. Should have seen the look on her face. A co-worker over heard our conversation and reassured her that I was being completely serious. :peace:

exactly! ha! even better is when someone acts like they know what you are talking about when you say" no, it doesn't have any pistons - its a rotary........(nods).....you know, triangles....." They nod like they agree, but the blank look just confirms you know they have no idea what you're talking about - ha! why not just say "whats a rotary?"

At least no one tries to bullshit you as if they knew a lot about RX7's by saying that you've got a ROTISSERIE engine. No joke.

Lady in a parking lot downtown asked which spot I was parked in so she could put a parking pass on it and i told her the number and she goes oh so your driving that probe. :( I was like no Im driving that RX7. She just gave me a funny look.

I think I've heard it all. It was called a Viper by a drive-up window monkey. A Corvette by someone who just saw the round '96-spec taillights at night (an understandable mistake). A Miata. A Ferrari. A *Supra*. you name it.

I've been told by another RX-7 "enthusiast" that he had a 1st gen. that made 650 horsepower and turned 14,000 rpm that would put my car to shame. He said he was a rotary nut from "way back". Nut was right. :)

I've been asked if it's a '97, a '98 (last time I drove it... haven't been asked recently) and how much horsepower it makes. I've been asked what the big "radiator" was (ASP Racing large intercooler) attached to the intake. And then told that there was no way that it made 430 horsepower.

I've been told by the owner of a 1986 Corvette convertible that there was no way that it was faster than a Corvette. He'd had a few too many to drink and hadn't been one of the people to get an E-ticket ride that night... everyone else was telling him to shut up.

I've been told by a Chevrolet salesman that the Corvette in the showroom was faster. I told him to open the door and roll it out and we'd see which car was faster. He declined.

And I've been told by an old high school classmate working as a car salesman that his plain-Jane Saleen Mustang was faster. I said "no, no it's not". He said "well, it'd put up a good fight, anyway." I said "no, no it wouldn't." He didn't seem to like that and wanted to go home and get it right then and there, but we just laughed, said see you later, and drove off.

But no one has ever asked me if it had a V8... :)

a guy a know came up to one time and says "hey thats your rx-7 isnt it" and im like yeah, then he says "its got one of those roto engines in it doesnt it" i then proceeded to bitch slap him.
