FC Thermoswitch (and I have spent at least 3 hours searching)

Hi, and apologies in advance.
I remember reading in here that the FC thermoswitch can be installed in the place of the FD thermoswitch. Now, I have searched everywhere and I cannot find the thread with the part no. which I remember I read in that thread.
1) Am I right on the FC thermoswitch, or was I allucinating?
2) If I was not allucinating, does anybody know the part no?
Apologies and thank you.

You're looking for the thrermoswitch from 89+ TURBO FC's. I don't know the P/N

OK, thank you, at least I know I remember things correctly. :)

It's just the 89-91 thermoswitch. I don't think it has to be the TII.

You're great, thank you very much, this is going to go in ASAP.

It can be 89-91 turbo, or nonturbo automatic. The nonturbo manual did not have a thermoswitch at all, nor the auxiliary e-fan for the a/c that it controlled, for whatever reason.

Hmmmm.....there USED to be a sticky about this, like...forever. I guess it is gone now.....

This is one of THE mods that needs to be done. I am SO happy how mine turned out and how the car runs so cool these days. :)

Always call Ray at Malloy Mazda. He is an incredible source of info and He has these in stock almost always. His prices shipped are almost always less than your local dealer could get for you.

If your going in to replace the thermoswitch you may as well test and replace the Thermosensor as well. They're right on top of each other.

Does anyone have pics of where the thermoswitch is?

Best picture I could come up with. It's just below the green sensor connector that's circled. It's a little tight but certainly replacable with the engine in the car. You'll have to remove the cross-over, alternator and a few other brackets etc. to access.

Never mind

FWIW - the lower of the two sensors in this pic.
