Fastest Street FD?

Wich FD is fastest in USA on 1/4 mile?

I mean a streetcar that someone drives normally like any other person.

In my country the fastest is a Supra MKIV that has done about 10.4

I think Ray's is "streetable". He pulls high 9's.

TobiasRX 09-23-02 01:14 PM

that's a mighty fine ET.

GsrSol 09-23-02 01:17 PM

Alot of cars are streetable but not drivin reguarly like he's asking.

I would say Pluto, he drives his on the street quite a bit, or used too.

Ray ran 9.9@145 mph

Full interior with p/s and a/c

black99 09-23-02 04:49 PM

Ari Yallion's(www.rx7.com) car is claimed street driven and it's been to I believe mid 9's in the 1/4.(from the old times updated 7/01 he went 9.58)

Also Adam Sarawutari's(sp?) car has went 9.34, it looks streetable(with no tubbed out rear, full body kit, etc) but I am not sure if it's streetable or not.

Although I don't know if either of these cars nor even Rays car is driven on the street often.

TobiasRX 09-24-02 11:10 AM

I guess it's very hard to break into the 9's on a street car. 10's is alot easier or so it seems anyways.

Dont_Be_A_Rikki 09-24-02 11:13 AM

Rays car has over 200 dyno pulls and well over 10,000 street miles on it and goes 9.99@145 baby.

I think ernie's is pretty fast so he says, and ray's runs 9's

Hi

Not in USA, in Japan, Uchino FD (KSP) is the fastest.
His car runs 9.6 sec with Nitto.

He still drives it. Hell, I was terrorizing the populace of Fort Worth the other weekend behind the wheel of his beast. Skinnies on the front, MTs on the rear. Once the boost comes on, look out :D

Hi Jspec
Thank you !!
I'm looking forward to seeing you on 27th Oct.
I will carry petit gifts for you all.
Have you got a brake fluid filler cap?

SPOautos 09-24-02 04:18 PM

Yea, Steve used to drive his almost daily. I know he drives it to the local street races where he lives.

He ran a 10.1 letting off because they were going to kick him off the track if he ran 9's. You have to have a NHRA license and a certified frame which he doesnt have. Seems to me like his 8th mile et and trap was good enough for a mid/high 9 second pass....if he wouldnt have let off.

Anyway, any of them could be run on the street, they all idle good.....the only prob is if you wanted to run it on the street with those boost levels you'd spend some $$$ on race fuel lol

Turn the boost down some and they would all be fine on the street

STEPHEN

You lucky dawg!...was she as hot in person as she is on paper?

Adam ran an 8.90 with a sequential transmission.
I think the Ari put in a sequential shift and ran in the eights too. I don't think that would be considered "streetable". Doesn't sequential = no reverse?
