FANTASTIC Rotary Engine Rebuild POV Video - Even V8 guys will like it!
I've never seen a video like this - but it is AWESOME. Makes it looks so darn easy. :) I guess if you want it done right, he's the man for the job! |
wooo-hooo.....(Mick..shuddap..lol!)
|
great video. good overview of assembly process.
|
that was great, thanks for sharing!

Chip makes it all look easy. He did the balancing on my rotating assembly, which I sent to him in Michigan.
If you have Facebook, you should subscribe to his page. He post amazing fabrication photos all the time. |
That was easy lol!

Great vid!!!! I would like to see that vid step by step in real time with him talking about what he is doing. Nice clean looking shop too.

Stacking the motor IS the easy part. It's all the cleaning, side seal clearancing, speccing parts, etc. that burns up HOURS before it's time to actually stack the motor.
Clean work and a nice shop - he knows his stuff! Dale |
When you see some of his other work, you may realize what I meant.
Chip makes it *ALL* look easy. He really really knows his stuff. All those cars in his shop, ranging from tune-ups or fixing-ups, engine rebuilds, to full on restoration jobs including paint and widebody. I don't think he takes many days off or maybe he's superhuman and doesn't need sleep. Makes me feel like the laziest person on earth when it comes to working on my car. |
Yeah... I've been lucky enough to see Chip in action (I guess everyone has now as well). Truly a master. The real difference between Chip and other shops is that he is a fabricator first... and the fact that he does everything the "right" way - no cutting corners. That might cost a little more, but the result is a much better product.
Dale - Chip offers cleaning, clearencing, nitrating - a whole host of services for rotors, irons and housings. His work is art. |
Plus Chip is very cool and down to earth too.

Yeah, this guy is just doing "next level" stuff when it comes to rotary engines.
He's making his own studs - Titanium with Torx heads: Attachment 753355 He's making full P-Port kits with threaded inserts: Attachment 753356 Attachment 753357 He's O-Ringing Intake Manifolds: Attachment 753358 Attachment 753359 He's making his own fricking billet main gears: Attachment 753360 I'm always surprised we don't hear more about him and his builds. |
Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Met Chip a few weeks ago; he did a PPI for me on a FD that we quickly aborted as he identified "champagne bubbles" right away. Saved me from making a rally bad purchase. Thank you Chip!
P.S. Anyone with a rotor tattoo definitely is trustworthy! |
Sweet video and amazing work

THIS is what I want to see assembled!

I think I walked by that stack when i was there.... there was a storm coming in, and with that and the tests, wasn't paying attention. Is it a build for anyone local?
