Fan Vent divertor issue

Guys,

I've tried a search and found a few threads that led nowhere (well one mentioned to check the relay but which one??)

I'm interested in a nice FD but the only problem they claim is that the air vents only blow out of the feet area, which to me sounds like a divertor problem. Any clues for me? They say that it blows cold and hot air but it's only from the foot registers.

Thanks!

I'd say you've got the right idea. The HVAC system isn't particularly troublesome on these cars, so there's really no telling if it is a problem with the control switches, wiring, or the motor that actually moves the flaps without taking it apart and doing diagnostics on it.

You need to make sure that the car isn't running with the heat on. The heat only comes out the floor vents by design. If you don't have A/C coming through the upper vents, then that is a problem.

Correct, AC operation is only coming through the floor vents.

Has anyone run into this issue?
