I'm sure the pinched apex groove is from the shipping..but those rotor faces are definitely from detonation. Maybe I should contact the builder.. i'm sure he pulled the motor apart and saw the damage... |
in other terms......off to the other forum to make a thread

Actually, if you look at the original thread you can tell that the corner was already pinched. left most rotor, bottom most corner. You got fucked. Oops, did I spill beans? |

post his name anyways with a description of the whole process after you at least are somewhat satisfied with the result. i actually linked that thread to one of my customers who is looking to build a 20B, glad it was sold before then(unfortunate for you though) after seeing this. |
I just cant believe that _____ would do that.

i don't know why people have a hard time using the term "FRAUD" on this forum.. come on, you got ripped off!

Had the exact same thing happen to me on this forum, ridiculous packaging. Paypal did not want to help but American Exoress saved the day.

paypal is getting ridiculous.

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx the fact that CC companies will reverse a charge at the tip of a hat just reverses the flow of these fraudulent activities. this is a big problem when so many buyers and sellers never see one another in person, people know the system is overloaded and take advantage of the hole left there, but i still encourage people to file complaints when something is so fishy that it literally slaps you in the face. |

I bet the seller had it planned to poorly package that. That way he could blame the damages on UPS and keep your money. Eff that, get you money back.

Hope guys get it worked out to your satisfaction. Definitely would have expected a better packing job than that.
|
I had something similar to this happen to me with a set of ported irons some time ago. The ports where too deep Into the water jackets and they did I good job hiding it with JB weld. It was a total loss for me. I know how this kinda blow feels,I hope it gets resolved..
|
Common sense goes a long way. I'm sorry the seller put you in this position. Hopefully everything works out and I wouldnt settle for any less than to have every penny back in your pocket. There is no way in hell I'd ever ship a 20B and NOT put insurance on it, let alone have it wrapped in the softest baby diapers I can find.

yea believe me guys......i regret every single letter i've typed to this guy and even the fact that I thought I could trust him in the beginning. Sometimes you just get the shit end of the stick...and I guess I drew that stick this time around. I posted everything in the bad and fugly members forum. More pictures can be taken if you guys want to see more.
I appreciate all of your guys advice with the paypal and credit card stuff precisely. Either way...this transaction won't deter me from building my car. I plan on selling off the good pieces of the motor and just sticking with my trusty 2 rotor for the time being. I'll keep everyone updated, but there's no way i'm getting my money back. But if you'd like... go check out my post and let whatever you guys feel fit fly in terms of posting about the transaction. Beware of purchasing parts off BEWTEW22!! |
I get ripped by someone every couple months. I was thinking of making a formula for this type of thing so you could get the probability of being screwed even though you think you looked at every in and out.
I've known paypal has sucked for about 6 years now. They only worry about you "receiving" the goods and not "the condition" of the goods. I'll I know you're doing a 20b assembly but if you decide to go back to a 13b I have a FULL balanced 3mm rotating assembly from Atkins that I'm going to sell soon. I also have 1 piece NRS ceramics that will be going at the same time. It's really unfortunate that you had this happen. Its really demoralizing when you try to build a motor the right way (balanced assembly) and something like this happens. Don't give up though, it only makes the final result feel even better :) |
[QUOTE=Karack;10361074]paypal is not a law firm, they're not here to protect anyone. their job is to take transactions and not to figure out who is at fault. he paid for an item and recieved an item, that's all they care about.
QUOTE] It's still BS Krack. Every other printed word that PayPal puts out is about buyer and seller protection. Add to that their disclosure and agreement is not readily available (on the first level of their transaction page) and the plain english of the responsibilities of the buyer and seller is missing. I've been burned as well as many others thinking Paypal will stand up the protection; then you deal with their representatives and understand the fine print. Always Always work credit cards through that org. |

This is grounds for flying down there and getting your money back.
|
Sorry to hear that you got scammed. Hope you get it worked out. Can a moderator change the title to the thread, since it really wasn't UPS doing the screwing?

Wow i'm sorry that happened dude. I can't believe how shady the seller was. Its hard to believe anyone is that FUCKING IGNORANT to package engine internals like that. Best of luck getting your money back. You might have to pay his ass a visit.
