Exhaust Price Opinions

I'm looking at rx7.com and considering the purchase of the Bönez Full Cat system. The total price comes to $870.50 (pre-tax, if any). I'm interested in hearing opinions on the price. I feel that any savings at a different site won't add up to much, but you never know.

I've checked around a bit on the web and became annoyed with the seach and decided to find a forum. The Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington used to have a forum, but not anymore, so you guys are it.

We're it huh. Not very complimentary sounding. :)

The price on their website is $795. Does your price include shipping? That is a fair price for a full stainless steel downpipe and high-flow cat. The Bonez cat also comes with a bung for the air pump, so it truly is bolt-on. Yes, you can get cheaper SS downpipes and high-flow cats, but like you said this is from one place and the Bonez stuff is high quality.

BTW, I know many people go with mild steel downpipes to save $100, but to me it's not worth it. Go with SS.

All though I do love RP and order from no where else....you might wanna check into Ntech if you want a good catylitic convertor. There's is much cheaper than the RP one....

Actually for the Ntech SS DP and hi-flo it would probably be just $700 shipped.

N-tech hi flow cat is awesome. Also, m2 downpipe is the best fitting dp. Cat back you have a choice, its all on personal opinion.

True, but then he has to order from multiple places with multiple shipping costs. Besides, I believe that the N-tech requires a bung to be welded on for the airpump tube.

no....n-tech works just fine as it came to me :D

You could hook the air pump piping to the N-tech w/o any modifications? If you don't run the air pump with the cat, you will destroy the cat.

If you could hook the air pump up w/o modifications, I might end up getting the N-tech instead of the Bonez.

I ordered the full Bonez kit from RP a little over a year ago. Yes, it's higher priced than some of the other hi-flo kits, but it's suppose to be more durable. I have no idea if that's true or not.

It is a direct replacement for the stock system, so the installation is just that much more simplier.

Keep in mind that it does NOT come with a cat-back, so you'll need to get that separately.

BTW, SR motorsports is selling a full stainless steel 3-inch exhaust system for $999. Downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back exhaust.
