Exhaust options

My car came with racing beats dual tip exhaust. The air pump is no longer connected and it's a single turbo setup.

I got a JASMA exhaust on trade and when researching it appears to be a HKS setup. The 3 digit code is 051 and the second number is 93000383

Can anyone knowledgeable tell me the difference if I put this JASMA exhaust on the car, I'm getting it tuned for e85 soon so probably best if I put the right exhaust on it. I'm looking for a little more exhaust note as the RB dual tip is a bit quiet.

That looks like the HKS Super Turbo exhaust. It was designed to meet the Japanese standard so should be pretty quiet. https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produ...ffler/db/12776

That will probably be the same or quieter than the RB exhaust. Most exhausts that have a JASMA tag are on the quiet side. Also, most oval canister exhausts are on the quiet side.

JASMA stands for the Japan Automotive Sports Muffler Association, its a certification that the exhaust is quiet enough to be street legal, its not a brand.

I did understand JASMA was a standard, I didnt really convey that all that well, but thank you.

So my question is, preformance wise would I see any difference or is it pretty much cosmetic and not worth the time and money to swap them. I can do it but maybe it's best I leave the RB dual tip on the car for now.

In general, the more an exhaust flows, the louder it is. The more power you make the more the restriction from a quieter exhaust can reduce power.

Farther than that the specifics are tricky. Is it worth 5hp to have a quieter exhaust? Maybe. How about 50hp? That may be a hard option.

RBs are much more desirable as far as used parts go. Which probably tells you something. ;)
