Engine torque brace?

Anyone here have the Garfinkle engine torque brace? If you do what are your thoughts on it? Any pics?

I'm trying to gauge some interest on a possible GP on them again. Here is a link https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=640039

A better solution is a set of pulyurethane engine mounts. The torque brace is only a bandaid in my opinion.

you are on the right track w david's ETB. i have run it for the last 3 years and it should be on everyone's manual trans FD.

i greatly favor the EBT over solid motor mounts alone. think of the engine's latitudinal cross section as a square. the engine mounts secure the bottom. with the EBT you secure the top. so you have much better leverage. w an EBT you have no ripped motor mounts as they are reassigned the proper duty which is holding the engine's weight.

David's EBT is slightly rubber bushed to soak up NVH but secure the motor. i consider it very important that it is located in the same longitudinal plane as the motor mounts therefore not feeding twist into the motor.

i have nothing against poly engine mounts but consider them to be only half of the equation for properly securing the motor. David's EBT is the other half.
