engine swap question...

So im swapping the engine into my fd... im rebuilding because it caught on fire... is it possible to add the dash, heater box,etc... without installing the engine harness to the ecu??? i just want to add the interior because im still working on my engine...

Yes you can put the dash in first and the ecu wiring in last .I have had the dash out and the 3 boxes .I do remove the seat to put the ECU wiring in because I am so old .

No problem ,the hole for the wires ,under the ABS unit is well under the box above .Be sure to find the blue and white plugs that are up there .Put the curved metal wire cover in place to hold the bundle in place .With the dash and 3 boxes in place you can undo the ECU and other plugs ,the metal cover and pull the bundle into the engine bay with ease .I will remove the ABS unit inorder to put the bundle and sealing boot back in place to insure the seal is good .Most people do not remove the ABS but I stand behind my work and do not take chances . I do remove the seat and lay on the floor of the car to do this but that is also not a have to .
