Engine swap.. Literally.

I'm having a total brain fart and I know the differences in the housings and what not, but I was wondering if it's possible to put a turbo II engine into my 3rd gen. Please help my world of confusion. And don't ask why I would want to do that, I'm asking the questions here. Any GOOD advice is very welcomed.

Anything is possible, but the mounts are in different places, and would require a good bit of modification to the cradle. A 13BT is a great engine, but when you consider the amount of time/money it would require to modify it for use in a FD it isnt worth it. May I ask why?

A local has a really strong turbo II but got rear ended, so I was going to get it from him for close to nothing. I blew my engine so I'm thinking of possibilities. Could I just use my mounts on that engine?

If you can get that engine for cheap, i suggest selling it for more and using that towards a 13B-REW.

Just buy the car and use the motor as a core to rebuild the REW and save some cash. Lots of good parts there.

ABsolutely not...the only things similar are the rotorhousings and rotors. Irons, intakes, etc, would be nowhere near useable in an FD.

Alrite thanks for the heads up, I definitely don't want to start making motor mounts or anything so I'll just get a fd motor.
