Any pros or cons on using a engine stud kit such as Mazdatrix offers, either standard or oversize?

If you use the oversize kit, you'll have to have all your housings machined to fit them. Unless you have a very good friend, it's not cheap.

You need a machine shop with a CNC machine.

Done it.

Not easy, but good drill press will do.
