Engine stand bolt size and thread
 

Ok guys,

I've been searching for two nights and haven't been able to find a solid answer. I'm trying to figure out what bolt size and thread pitch I need to fit into the last hole on the new engine stand head I got from Maxdatrix. I'm guessing the size is M12, but I haven't been able to figure out the pitch. I bought a M12x1.25 and that won't thread in. I also bought a M12x1.75 and that won't thread in. By process of elimination that means it's probably M12x1.5, but I can't find that bolt anywhere in town. Before I go to through the pain of ordering it, can someone tell me what thread pitch is supposed to go in there?

The hole I'm talking about is circled in red in the pics I've attached.

Edit: I also don't have the stud that was originally supposed to be in there. Apparently it got lost somewhere along the life of my car.

The large studs in the engine front side-housing are 12mm x 1.5 -- the same as wheel studs.

I got that from Pineapple Racing...

Yeah, 12mm x 1.5 is a common size on the car. I typically just dig through my bolt collection and find one that works :).

If you want a cheapie quick fix, get a thread gauge or a similar thread or nut and head to the pick and pull junkyard - I'm sure you can easily find a Japanese car with a proper size and thread bolt, and it'll probably be free.
