engine rebuild problems. please help.

right now, I am trying to take the engine block out of the car.

but I got some problems with the harness.

please take a look at this pic below. the one I am pointing to. how do I disconnect it from the engine block?

and do I need to take care of this harness too? where does it go? and where's the connect on the engine block?

or gimme a basic idea how to take care of these two harness.

Thanks a lot

The first pic, that harness is goes through the firewall underneath the wiper's motor. You are going to have to remove the ecu and pull the harnesses through the firewall out into the engine bay.

The second pic is looks like the one that is held down by a plastic clip right next to the tranny, that wire goes to the starter. If you go under the car and follow the starter wire it'll lead to that one.

Thanks, man. So, is this the easiest way to handle the first harness? then that means I have to take some interior parts out, disconnect the ECU and put it thru the firewall?
regardin to the second harness, I got what you mean, but where do you separate it from the engine block? (I've taken the starter out.)
and what do you think about the transmission, do I just loose the blots between the engine and the tranny? is it good enuff to pull out the engine then?

The top bolt of the starter is the one that holds the plastic bracket that holds that harness. Pulling the harness through the firewall was the easiest for me.

Unplug heater hoses
Unplug oil cooler lines
Unplug ac/ps lines
unplug fuel lines
Unplug clutch line
Unbolt 5 tranny bolts, do not forgot to support the tranny
DO NOT FORGET TO RELEASE THE CLUTCH FROM THE TRANNY!!!
Then it should come right out.

Am i forgetting anything else?
