Engine management
At what point should you get some sort of engine managment, and which system would it be?
|
after Intake, downpipe and Exhaust
you have many options Piggy-back (not recomended) Greddy e-manage Stand alone apexi Power FC Haltech E6X Remaped Stock remaped ecu |
I would go with the power fc
|
you also got the petit ecu
stand alones you got haltec microtech electomive i think its called (old school joint) wolf I hear the power fc is good for our car but alot of the straight up drag racers i know usually with 1st gen and 2nd gens also some with 3gens, 1 guy i know has a rx-2 also and this shop i go to around here says to go haltech or microtech. i hear good things about power fc from most every1 else though and might be the first of my staten island friends to use it. |
Also consider if you are going to get your car professionally tuned, if you are you'll want to make sure that the whatever tuner that is near you and you plan on using is able to tune with whatever engine management system you choose.

PFC is the only way.

AEM PEMS, if you're not worried about OMP support, since it doesn't do it very well. The software is nice, although there's practically no support.

I have the Pettit ECU on Downpipe, Hi-Flow, exhaust and intakes./
works fine to me. |
