Engine light

This might souind silly but I have owned the 3rdgen for a while now. I have not seen the check engine light. Where is it?

blown Mar 6, 2003 03:51 AM

You'll see it when you first start the car. Bright yellow, left side i think (don't really pay attention to that anymore:) ) Looks kinda like the rear defroster light...

blown,

Thanks but i have tried every single light that can be seen, and there is no check engine light. Thats why i wonder where can it be.

redrotaryrock8 Mar 6, 2003 10:46 AM

it might be blown 9413Btt.

its right next to the airbag light (or within that cluster of 4 lights- abs, airbag, check engine, and rear defroster).

It's possible it's also disconnected. Some people have disabled it because they disabled the EGR which would throw a check engine light.

oh ic.... will check it tonite, but why would someone remove the check engine light?

do they have EGR in malaysia? :)

the bulb could be burned out or whoever sold you the car could have pulled it to hide something.

Not sure of European models, but all US 94's did (and most European countries are stricter than the US when it comes to emissions.) :)

As far as I know, European FD's do not have EGR.
