Well my friend who is a mechanic who is not a rotary specialists is working on my car. Nothing engine related if you guys can recall i ran over the curb so im just having him work on rebracketing the radiator and doing some suspension work. But as he was removing the hard pipes on my car there was alot of oil in there. He also said which i saw theres oil also in the IC. Also he said its leaking in the rear main seal. He used to work on rotaries back in the day he had a fb. He didn't really work on it too much but hes just familiar with rotaries in the general sense and he said probably the oil seals are going bad. Which probably explains white smoke from the exhaust but i thought it would be blue.
So the conclusion is the turbo is going bad internally. So guys how bad is this? im assuming a rebuild. If so what do you guys suggest here in southern california. This will be my first time doing so. I know there isn't really a cheap way out but i would like to know how soon does this need to be addressed. I know sooner the better but i was hoping to wait a few more months until i get more cashflow in because im starting a new job so i wont just get the minimum rebuild using old rotors and housing with new seals etc. If i were to get the minimum rebuild how well do they hold up. Because i would like to get things done right the first time as much as possible so thats why i would like to wait until my cash flow comes in.
Anyways enough of my rambling.

If real bad and needs to be addressed immeadiately where should i take it in so cal?

Ok - Oil in your pipes and IC could just mean you're getting blow-by. Grabbing a catch can and hooking it up could change all of that. If the rear seal is blown, not to big of a deal. Drop the tranny, remove the clutch and flywheel, and change it.
White smoke is generally Glycol, but I don't know enough to give an accurate anwer. What does it smell like? If it's sweet smelling, then it's glycol, and that's also bad. However, you've made no mention of using coolant, or coolant buzzers, so it may just be oil. When does it smoke? Only at idle, under load, or under regular driving conditions? All 3??? If it's the turbo, time for some new ones. As far as the motor is concerned, most rebuilds, even with extra add-on's re-use housings and rotors as long as it is within tolerances.

thx turbo 7 well usually my car start smoking on a cold start-up like over nighters. But then during the day its hardly noticible. I dont recall it smelling sweet like coolant all i can say it burns my eyes maybe cuz a cats gone? (DP). Actually as far as i know under a heavy load it smokes. I think i failed to mention that ive been having CEL light coming on and off and usually for the most part when it comes on my car ends up stalling out. Sometimes under constant velocity the car will buck then the car turns on again.
