Engine harness and connector help needed
 

I'm in the process of simplifying the engine wire harness for my friend's RX7, but there are a few wires and plugs that I'm just not sure of. The car is getting AEM EMS so Ive been following their ECU pinouts along with this picture: http://www.blackgto.com/RX7/wireharness.jpg.

First one Im not sure about is the green 2 wire connector labled "fuel pump." What does this do and does it need to stay on the harness?

Second, on the air pump connector, there is a bigger gauge black/green wire that runs to the blue ECU connector and into pin # 2K, which AEM lists as "1-2 switch." Can that wire be removed? What is the 1-2 switch? I've tried to search but don't get much help on it.

Third, on the blue connector again, pin # 2L, labled by AEM as "1-2 sec pos switch". I'm wondering again what that is or does?

I'm keeping track of everything thats being removed so that it can be re-installed if ever needed, and so that I can have it all documented for when/if it needs to be done again. Pics will also be taken. Thanks in advance for any help!

I traced the brown/yellow wire of the "fuel pump" connector and it ends up in the white plug that is a little way back from the ECU plugs, so I'm guessing that one needs to stay.

Also I traced pin # 2L, labled as "1-2 sec pos switch", which is a brown/white wire, and it ends up in the OMP connector.

Well I believe that the green connector labeled as the "fuel pump" connector, should say "fuel rail", since it would have gone to one of the stock fuel rails. But since this car has aftermarket fuel rails, thats not there obviously.

I believe you are referring to the "Fuel Thermosensor" connector. When going with aftermarket fuel setups, most people eliminate that sensor.
