engine code for air pump
I bypassed the air pump by not attaching a belt to it and just going with a 4 rib 300 belt. So, if the airpump isn't moving, will the sensor pick up that it isn't pumping and throw out a code? I know it probably will, I just need verification. Thanks.

There is an engine code, but I don't think it's one that actually triggers the CEL. I think the ECU just logs it and moves on.

Cool, I am working on one of my friends auto RX7 and did half of the vac hoses with silicon. I'm getting good boost but reading a transmission code and engine code. Another thing that could be going wrong is that when I took off the UIM I accidentally unhooked the white electrical conector from its prongs and might have got the wires switched. Could this be registering a code or not?
The transmission is idling at 2000 in neutral but fine in gear. The only thing that is going awry after that is that in 1st at 4500 it is switching directly into second a WOT. From there the boost and transition is fine. What else could be wrong? |
I'm not looking at my car, but I think the white connector under the UIM is for the ISC (Idle Speed Controller). If you mess that up, then you'll most likely have a high idle.

I just saw your other thread. Have you checked the Tranny ECU codes yet?

Thanks for your help. I had gotten the wires crossed on the white connector. Problem fixed.
