Engine or Clog? DOH!!! @#*(%!@#@$

My resisour keeps spitting out all of my coolant. Today when I wnet to the Mazda Dealer he told me my front rotor could be going bad. I dont have any problems craking, it doesnt seem to have lost any power, and there is no smoke. He said it could also be a clogged radiator.. I hope it is that. It spits the coolant out like crazy. I do believe it is just a clog, because the engine has only 16,253 on it.. same with the twins.. So am I right or what? I am taking it in to have a compression test done at PepBoys. Im scared shitless about this..

Man I really doubt its your engine. Dont get all worried just go over the whole coolant system. Was that guy at the dealership a rotary tech?

Don't bring it to dealer! That has been the standard rule #1
Bring it to rotary specialist.
IF you are in alabama,
Try call Bryan at BNR Supercars. I think he know rotary too, I know he rebuilt turbos.

Thanks.. pheww.. He sounded like he knew them. Im trying to contact him now:)

The rotary tech (if you can call him that) was working on a P5..

Street King 07-10-02 04:32 PM

Dont diss on all mazda techs. We have one here in san antonio named bruce. His worse days are better than other techs best day. He can do pretty much anything and everybodyw ith rx7's rave about him. So just make sure they have compatent techs and you get a word of mouth from other people on the dealer before you take it there.

ok.. dealerships cost mucho $$$ though ;)

sorry posted the above twice..

when was the last time you replaced the radiator cap? If it isn't holding the correct pressure coolant will overfill the resevoir.

neoamd 07-11-02 10:06 AM

same ones from stock.. I checked them out and they look fine.. it was leaking out of the cooland case though.. I think its a clogged radiator..

Street King 07-11-02 10:29 AM

Neamd are you using city water or distilled/purified water. If your using city water then your radiator might be clogged. Do a coolant flush and change out your radiator cap too!
