Electrical problem
My friend came to me yesterday with his FD. He had a problem with the battery and he went to get it jump to get the car going. Well the guy that went to put the cables put them backwards. Now the car is running like shit. It's popping a bunch of codes:
26 metering oil pump stepper motor 27 Metering oil pump 30 Solenoid valve - split air bypass 38 Solenoid valve - accelerated warmup system and air supply valve 39 Solenoid valve - relief 2 42 Solenoid valve - turbo precontrol 43 Solenoid valve - wastegate control 44 Solenoid valve - turbo control 45 Solenoid valve - charge control 46 Solenoid valve - charge relief control The weird thing is that the car is set up for non-seq so most of this solenoids are not there. I swapped the ECU with a stock one (he has M2) and still the same. Any help pleae. |
did you check fuses and solenoids? you might of blown a few by putting the cables on incorectly
oh yeah forgot to mention that, all fuses are good. it has to be more than that. I think all those semsors/solenoids(actually resistor in place of some of them) are all in the same harness.
Have the idiot who put the cables on wrong foot the bill to a local mechanic. Electrical issues are a bitch.
well if the owner of the FD was any smarter he would have done that. But we are talking about a guy that doesn't know how to push start the car either.
I suppose that he might have fried the resistors. Swap a new resistor into one of the problem areas and see if the code goes away. If it does, then that was the case.
man had a serious short in my car that took forever to sort out, i would not be surprised to see some wires meltred and contacting causing all these problem, u will actually have to see all the main harnesses for melting, contacting, or anything amiss, good luck, keep us posted

That's what I'm going to check for
