electric fans not turning on(overheating )

hey guys i got a 1993 rx7 jdm car i jsut put a new street ported american engine into a japense car...so my problem is my electric fans are not turning on anymore... the car previuously had a varible fan controller hooked up and now i somehow got disconnected on the motor swap...so my quetion is how can i get my fans to turn on and also how do i wire up the fan controller so it works again...this iis a big problem as im heating up very quickly... thanks in advnace

I'm not sure about a variable fan controller, however I had a similar problem last summer. It turns out that I had blown the fan control fuse in the fuse box. If you think you hooked everything up right in the engine swap than you may want to check the fuse...

turn on ur ac. if they work your controler is good and its probaly one of the three coolant temp sensors. two below your water outlet cap and one below your oil psi switch.(driver side rear cast section) good luck!!!

Please tell me you are referring to Fahrenheit... 120 Celsius is pretty much "kiss the engine good-bye" territory!!

FD's will typically run with a water temperature of 85 degrees Celsius. If yours is running 120 than you've got (or very soon will) some serious problems! Personally, if my water temp hit 110 then the car would be (immediately) turned off, the hood popped, and the fans turned on full blast. You need those fans working properly in order to keep temps down!!!

Do you have any rotary specialists near by you could take the vehicle to?

Are you running the stock fans or are these some kind of aftermarket fans? Why don't you just plug them back in to the stock plugs which are controlled by the 4 cooling fan relays?

tehre stock jdm fans... the fans only turn on witrh the ac being on
