Egi fuses keeps blowing and now my abs lights is on!!
Ok here's the problem. Today in the morning i went for a car wash and the car ran absolutely fine. When i got home to put my new wheels on (19's) the car still drove good other than some minor rubbing. After about an hour it began to run funny and my abs light turned on. The idle just keep on dropping little by little until it died. Now im stuck in the parking lot trying to figure this out. I replaced the egi fuse but it blows it right away.
It's a 94 completely stock other than an amp but was installed a few weeks ago. |

Seems obvious with the recent wheel swap. The body harness routes through the drivers fender and gives the engine harness much of its connection. Furthermore, the ABS routes under the passenger side fender.
Lots of inspecting to do..... |
Remove the driver side front wheel and fender liner. Im sure you will see the damaged wires once you have those off.

I'll bet on that driver's fender well harness been rubbing through causing this short. Seen this happy 10+ times. Check it out!

Found it! It was the passenger side. I'll post a pic of it

The driver side isn't any where close to how bad the passenger side is, but know that I know i'm going to move the harness on the driver side.

Glad you found it, just make sure to take time and do it right. Nobody wants to do wiring repairs twice.
