Efini Y-pipe Question
 

Is the Efini y-pipe divded where the primary and secondary turbo tracks meet? Or is it just like the OE US version? I have been lookcing for pics but cannot seem to find any on the inside, they are all of the outside. So if you happen to have any I would apprecaite you posting them.

The reason I ask this is becasue just looking how the pipes are designed it seems you get some type of blow back where and how the turbos meet. By adding a divder you will remove that chance and I am sure the response will rise as well, possibly even a few more psi.

The Efini Y-Pipe is almost identical to the stock Y-Pipe. It is just a little bit different shape, and has better Internal flow it seems like. Plus you get rid of that Plastic peice off your intercooler. I just installed it over the weekend, and I have not driven the car yet (Dam Snow), but it seems like it will do nothing but help.

Added a divider?

efini has a larger interior diamater, as well as smoother bends. Other than that, its the same as stock.

I'm going to be fitting an efini crossover pipe onto the stock Y pipe for my own purposes and so I was looking at the Y-pipe with similar questions about modification. That being said, I had a little free time today, so I took a standard Y-pipe and put it on a flow bench thinking that I could offer something useful here. Cursory tests suggest that there might be some small gains in dividing the y-pipe--or at least part of it.

Further testing is indicated, but it seems as if biasing the flow in the direction of the outlet without running the divider all the way up may be the thing to do. I'll check it out and repost on the thread as I learn more about it. Incidently, and contrary to an earlier statement in this thread, the efini pipe is actually smaller in diameter--I checked--than the old stock piece, at least at the flange where they bolt together.
